Version:            (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Debian testing/unstable Packages

Add the following lines to your ~/.kde/share/config/kdeglobals file:

[Passwords]
EchoMode=ThreeStars

This will render all kde password dialogs unusable, because you can enter a password but nothing happens if you press return or click okay. This can be reproduced with ksshaskpass, okular (crypted pdfs), ...
