Description Michael G. Hansen 2010-03-07 13:02:45 UTC
Version: 2.4 (using KDE 4.4.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

I often run 'make' in a standalone konsole window while writing code in kate. It would be nice if there were a way to easily open the files mentioned by gcc error messages at the appropriate lines in kate. Error messages are of the form 'filename:line: error messages'. Doubleclicking on the filename also selects the line number, therefore all that is missing is for example a context menu option "Open file in editor", defaulting to 'kate --use --line linenumber filename'.

This has been in Konsole since 2020.
