Description Alexey Chernov 2010-03-06 20:04:58 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.4.1)
Compiler:          GCC 4.4.3 Target: x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu Configured with: ../gcc-4.4.3/configure --prefix=/usr --libexecdir=/usr/lib --enable-shared --enable-threads=posix --enable-__cxa_atexit --enable-clocale=gnu --enable-languages=c,c++,fortran --disable-multilib --disable-bootstrap  Thread model: posix
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Compiled From Sources

Sometimes wrong texture in background of taskbar is painted (see the screenshot). It occupies only one half of taskbar's width, the 'wrong' texture every time is the same one (black with Air theme's squares). Removing whole cache in ~/.kde/cache-* fixes the situation but it's just till the next login to KDE. This happens right from the start of KDE and is quite stable (i.e. no flickering or replacements etc.)

another variation of the "black panel" bug; i'm not seeing it anymore in trunk, though. marco: do you know of anything that changed related to this recently?

- Shouldn't this be merged with bug 224666 ? Regards
Comment 4 Alexey Chernov 2010-04-27 22:16:15 UTC
I don't know but it looks so similar in terms of result of the bug. Still here in 4.4.2 and really annoying...
Comment 5 Marco Martin 2010-05-12 11:09:30 UTC
yes, it's the same thing.
it seems a problem with overlays
and i didn't see it in trunk since ages
several overlay caching issues were fixed in trunk, so it's very likely this is fixed.
hrder to test now since the panel doesn't have an overlay image anymore
