Version: Akonadi-kde-4.3.2 (using KDE 4.3.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Mandriva RPMs When logging into Mandriva Linux 2010.0 Power Pack Desktop with using KDE 4.3.0, Akonadi Server Sel... System Settings reports that the Akonadi control process not registered at D-Bus and Akonadi server process not registered at D-Bus during KDE start up. Consequentially during the KDE session, the mouse buttons will become disabled for a period of time, beginning as though the cut and paste mouse function was activated and then mouse buttons will not work at all, yet the mouse cursor still moves on desktop screen. Then after several minutes, the mouse buttons will eventually regain function. This is an annoying bug. David A. Smith

i think this is a mdv issue please do : - install mysql-core - remove old akonadi config stuff with the command: mv ~/.local/share/akonadi/ mv ~/.local/share/akonadi-old/ restart KDE
I have mysql-5.1.42-0.2mdv2010.0-i586.rpm currently installed. Is there a newer version? David
i told about mysql-core ;)
Dear Nicolas, I have done the following with no difference. Akonadi still reports D-Bus isn't registered. David A.
