Version: (using KDE 4.4.0) Compiler: MSVC 32Bit OS: MS Windows Installed from: MS Windows Some time ago I noticed, that Ark on Windows doesn't open or extract archives in zip or 7z format. The reason is, that the executables are not in [kdedir]\bin directory. To support *.7z archives I had to copy the 7z.exe to [kdedir]\bin. I used the 7z.exe from a 7z installation. For *.zip support it needs a zipinfo.exe and an unzip.exe. It seems, that the zipinfo.exe is no longer available, but I think it was replaced by the unzip.exe. So I downloaded the files from http://www.info-zip.org/ (ftp://ftp.info-zip.org/pub/infozip/win32/unz600xn.exe), copied the unzip.exe two times to [kdedir]\bin and renamed one of these to zipinfo.exe. It seems to work quite well until now. I'm using Windows XP SP3 (32 bit) and don't know, if it works on 64 bit (didn't found a 64 bit unzip). Would it be possible to provide the files via the installer?

Hey Justin, I no longer use (KDE on) Windows and so I'm not able to re-check the issue. I'm ok with closing it, but as other are in the CC list and a duplicate was created, I want to let others the chance to test and reply here. If that doesn't make sense, feel free to close it :) Thanks for taking the time to look through old bug reports!
