Description Adam 2010-03-03 23:50:52 UTC
Version:           0.80.2 (using KDE 4.3.5)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Slackware Packages

After upgrading Slackware-current from KDE 4.3.4 to 4.3.5, Kopete will no longer load the Yahoo plugin. When I brought it up after rebooting, the Yahoo account was missing from the list. When I tried to re-add my Yahoo account, I got the message "Cannot load Yahoo protocol plugin" and was forced to click "OK" -- it doesn't screw up normal application operation, but it is a necessary component.

When I run it from the console, I get this output:

$ kopete

Hello from the KDE Bugsquad!

Unfortunately, Yahoo has discontinued the Yahoo Messenger service, and the code has been removed from Kopete.

Thus, I am closing this bug as "UNMAINTAINED" since it will no longer be fixable, or able to operate due to Yahoo.
