Version: (using KDE 4.4.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Archlinux Packages I log in, kontact starts, akonadi gets called up, I input my kwallet password, akonadi completes startup, I cannot access kaddressbook because of fault in akonadi. Workaround: I stop akonadi and start it again via akonaditray and everything is hunky-dory. I get errors in 4, 14, 16 and 18

upgrading to KDE4.4.1 solved this :)

I think I can confirm this (or a very similar bug) with KDE 4.4.4, on an amd64 Gentoo system. Starting Kontact for the first time after logging in triggers the startup of Akonadi. This results in an Akonadi error because no resource agents could be found: <snip> Test 14: ERROR -------- No resource agents found. Details: <snap> Consequently, the addressbook is not available in Kontact. Closing and restarting kontact makes it work (including the addressbook) though, so my naive guess is that this is just a timing problem.
Possibly related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/akonadi/+bug/554514/comments/66 (a bug report with partly confusing comments though).
Just upgraded to 4.5 and so far the problem seems to be fixed! Thank you.
