Description Jurian Sluiman 2010-03-01 13:02:11 UTC
Version: 4.4 (using KDE 4.4.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

The "widgets" in the summary view can be dragged into position. By default the view has two columns, but when all widgets are dragged into one column I'd like to have the full width for the widgets.

I use my Kontact application always in a windowed (no-fullscreen) mode and two columns cause my todos and appiontments look very cluttered. They have sometimes quire a large title and when having two columns they need several lines to display. Using the full width of the KPart might be good solution to avoid this.

Example of the empty column

The summary is selected, all three parts are on the left column. The (smugded) to-dos and upcoming events are sometimes on multiple lines and the complete right column is not used.

Version 4.4.5-5 from Debian packages

I voted for this bug because it is really a pain for me :
- with the small screen of my laptop there is no room for two columns and as the second column is empty, there is many multi-line in the first one.

- with my desktop that I use in windowed mode, so problem is the same as with small screen.
