Version: (using KDE 4.4.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Archlinux Packages I think it'd be cool if I could use this to have a button directly to logout/shutdown/restart/switch user I use these way more often than hibernate/sleep which have checkbox options to enable. I don't really care for having to go through like 4 clicks to do something I do all the time. they wouldn't have to be enabled by default just seems like a good set of options.
I just posted a review request for a patch that adds a "Switch User" button <http://reviewboard.kde.org/r/4618/>. Not so sure about logout, shutdown, restart as they are reachable with 2 clicks using the leave dialog.
SVN commit 1149616 by iwesp: Add "switch user" button as discussed in review request #4618. CCBUG: 228993 M +3 -0 CMakeLists.txt M +35 -2 lockout.cpp M +3 -0 lockout.h M +19 -5 lockoutConfig.ui WebSVN link: http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=1149616
running 4.5.1 now should I be able to see a configurable "switch user" button under the 'general' tab?
no, it's a new feature and includes translatable strings. either of those things precludes it from being committed to the current stable branch. it will be in 4.6 (or you can grab it sooner if you wish from svn :)
