Description Pascal d'Hermilly 2010-02-28 20:22:59 UTC
Version: 1.13.0 (using KDE 4.4.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When I add add a large inline picture (like 3.4MB jpeg (10MP)) in a mail, kmail sort of freezes and Xorg goes crazy processing in the bagground.
After the initial load (about 10 seconds), the kmail composer is very slow to react to anything I do.

Inlining the same picture in thunderbird shows no troubles.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
