Version: 4.4.00 (KDE 4.4.0) (using 4.4.00 (KDE 4.4.0), Gentoo) Compiler: i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31-tuxonice_k8 When making a drag'n drop operation, you are asked whether to copy, to move or to make a shortcut. This can be overridden by, for example, pressing the Ctrl key in order to force copying. Bug this does not work when dragging images from konqueror into dolphin, you always get the question what to do. Despite that, the 'move' option hardly makes any sense here I think.
So what doesn't work? Dragging an image from a webpage (in konqueror-as-webbrowser) and holding CTRL, doesn't force a copy?
Yes. I always get the little menu letting me chose to copy, move, link or cancel, whether I press CTRL or not. If I select copy, I get a copy of course, but I would like to avoid using the menu for each of these operations. Wow, fast response BTW!
Looks like bug 178679.
Created attachment 42206 [details] Another amarok -d --nofork log I just ran amarok -d --nofork again, now using Amarok 2.3.0. With similar result. This log was stripped down from 7M to 300K, the [...] parts stand for many many many lines of similar content. BTW, Amarok really gets on my nerves, I experienced so many bugs and annoyances of all different kinds. And still, I like it best, and do not switch to another one. Amarok really is a great player, and once the bugs are gone it will be sooo cool.
Whooops. I'm very sorry, this was indended to go to bug #229239. My apologies for this.
Indeed, it's bug #178679, which has been around for a while. Too bad, there does not seem to be an easy solution for this. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 178679 ***
