Description Fest 2010-02-25 21:17:28 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

I turned off all notifications for kget. When i'm running kget separately, it's not showing anything. But if i download something from konqueror with integrated kget - it's show finished download notification.

Can you try with latest KGet from trunk?

It may be a duplicate of bug 228775...

Just tried it with trunk and I could not reproduce it.

Hey ! KDE 4.5 and i still have this bug.. Mostly it's happens when opening images (right click - view image)

Steps to reproduce:
1. Turn off all notifications in kget.
2. Open image. (For example random image from DeviantArt - http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/185/2/f/Nuala_Black_SL_by_metal27.jpg)
3. You have notification "Retrieving xMB from site [Finished]

And it's not duplicate, cause i don't have problem with kget notifications - only when using it via konqueror.

And what is strange that it's not always occurring. Some images opening silently. How can i exactly to trace it ?

The notification shows a KGet or Konqueror Icon?

It shows Konqueror icon.

So it's not a bug in KGet... Konqueror seems to download the file and shows the notification...

Konqueror set to use kget to download files. And this bug submitted under konqextension component - "plugin for Konqueror to integrate KGet". So it seems konqueror forget to give image to kget or kget miss image link. In both ways it's bug in this component integration.

Sorry. You right. When opening image in konqueror it call gvpart.
Comment 10 Fest 2010-08-15 17:20:52 UTC
But still, who is downloading image, before show it in browser?
Comment 11 Lukas Appelhans 2010-08-15 22:37:24 UTC
Konqueror/KIO does... it doesn't use the KGet noptification settings... so this bug is invalid...
