Version: 3.4.65 (using 4.4.65 (KDE 4.4.65 (KDE 4.5 >= 20100224)), compiled sources) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.33-rc8 If a text document is open and I want to find some text I can search using ctrl+f. It opens a small widget at bottom and if I type chars into the search field the search starts immeadiately. That is good for small documents but if a big document is open, then kate hangs for a while (for each char I type in). Please add a configuration option to disable the auto start of searching. Its ok to start searching if I press enter.
It should work pretty fast as it is now: It does not "highlight all" anymore, instead it only searches once until a match is found. Do you still have issues with it in e.g. KDE 4.6?
