Version: (using KDE 4.4.0) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Changing the Workspace theme in System Settings > Appearance crashes the desktop. (Plasma and KWin) I lose the windows borders, can't switch between windows anymore and, IF the desktop widgets restart, they are unresponsive to mouse clicks and may contain artifacts. I don't get any crash report dialog. You can see the outcome in the screenshots below.
Bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=216941 is somewhat similar.
Created attachment 41103 [details] Here the widgets restarted, but were unresponsive. Notice there are no window borders.
Created attachment 41104 [details] Nothing restarted here.
Created attachment 41105 [details] Everything restarted, but was unresponsive and had artifacts.
Created attachment 41106 [details] Weird behavior this time. In this situation I had windows borders, but Plasma was gone. Thunderbird was running in the system tray. It happened a few days ago, before I installed new Workspace themes and I remember that I did get a crash report dialog, but I didn't have the details (unfortunately).
This is very likely to be bug 182026. Regards *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 182026 ***
