Description Maciej Warnecki 2010-02-25 17:37:12 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Archlinux Packages

I've got my desktop set to "Folder view" so it works like regular Windows desktop.

But even though I've set the icons into "Unsorted" mode and turned "align to grid" off, each time I change the icon layout to my taste (ex. all folders w/ photos in bottom right corner) and then add any file onto the desktop (for example, create a text file), the icon layout gets reset (all icons occupy the top left corner).

Even after I change the icon layout to my taste and chose "Lock into place", adding a new file resets the layout.

PS.: It might be relevant that I've got 4 plasma activities with different wallpapers tied to my virtual desktops. I did this to have each desktop with different wallpaper. All of the desktops open the same folder, have the same plasmoids, etc. Only the wallpaper is different.

Known regression: bug 227157, fixed for KDE SC 4.4.1.
