Description Michael 2010-02-23 22:50:00 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Go to System Settings > Default Applications > Web Browser
2) Select "in the following browser"
3) Specify a path
4) Click "Apply"

Expected Results:
The the changes previously made should be saved and the path previously specified should lead to the new default browser.

Actual Results:
The changes are not saved and no change in default browser is made.

It works for me on current trunk. Can you check if you have write permissions to .kde/share/config/kdeglobals, and if "BrowserApplication" is saved there when you change that in System Settings?

Works for me as well (both in trunk and 4.5.1). Since there was no reply from the original reporter within almost 8 months and this bug is unassigned, I'll close this as WORKSFORME. Hope that's ok, otherwise feel free to reopen if more info turns up.
