Version: (using KDE 4.4.0) Installed from: Fedora RPMs When adding some notes to a PDF you have to export it as a document archive. When opening this exported document archive the added notes would be shown correctly. But when adding new notes you have to export it as a document archive again. IMHO one of the following options would be good to implementate: 1. When modifying a document archive a "Save" option should be offered. or 2. When adding notes to a PDF or modifying a PDF a "Save" option should be offered everytime (which would be the export as a document archive option we have now). And in both versions it should be checked if this document was modified before closing okular and a save/export dialog should be offered. So that you don't lost your modifications when accidentally closing okular.
I would like this functionality as well.
Without this feature, when you add annotations to an archive and do an export, you can easily overwrite the wrong file! Alternatively, https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=305412 or https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315552 would satisfy my use case (making and seeing annotations on the same document from multiple machines).
This has been fixed in https://cgit.kde.org/okular.git/commit/?id=3957683d7651494a7bc48b26e6b113161e9a888c and will be available in KDE Applications 17.12. You can save to PDF directly, saving to document archives works and you'll get notified about unsaved changes before closing in both cases.
