Hello,

could you please add an ability to search by the lens type to compare images? Now I can search by the focal length but it is not enough.

Thanks.

Lens is a free text field. It is easy to add free-text search. I think I planned to query all lens entries in the database and offer a combo box with the result.

Hi, can I ask if this is still planned to be included in Digikam? I think this is a really important feature for both the professional and amateur DSLR photographer. Right now I use Rawtherapee for this but it means that I have to go out of my normal workflow and I will not have the flexibility Digikam offers :( (no light table, can't see my ratings... not to say anything bad about RT which is a great RAW program)

Many thanks,
Ahmad

Currently using digiKam 4.2.0

Is this still a feature that may be provided?

The ability to search using 'Lens' from 'Photograph Properties' is a function that would be greatly appreciated.

The provided ability to search using focal length is of limited use, as it is not sufficiently 'fine grained' to return a specific lens. In my own case for example, searching for 85mm returns images that may have been taken with 3 different lenses...
