Description Sathyajith 2010-02-22 10:05:53 UTC
Version: 2.2.90 (using 4.4.00 (KDE 4.4.0) "release 223", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.2)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31.12-0.1-default

Amarok 2.2.90 does not seem to pick up and read my ID3 meta data tags. I use MusicBrainz picard tagger to set the tags. However Amarok doesn't read the tags and shows as if there are no tags. Used the tool id3v2 to show that the tags indeed do exist.

Are those tracks in the collection? You might want to try a full collection rescan and restart Amarok to see if it changes
Comment 2 Sathyajith 2010-02-22 10:59:45 UTC
The tracks were in collection, but were not showing up in collection browser :-s I had to rescan the collection and restart Amarok, after that it works fine, so that makes this bug invalid I suppose. But I can't figure out why they were, er, "kicked out" of the collection

Well, yes, that is indeed strange. I have notified the developers, waiting for their opinion.
