Kopete allows the user to send rich text messages by letting him define font colours, font families, italics, etc. However, those options are associated to individual contacts so there's no easy way to get the same text style for all his contacts.

Kopete should add a configuration option to set the default rich text formatting for all accounts. Those defaults should be used unless overriden by the user on a particular account.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
