Version: (using KDE 4.4.0) OS: Linux Installed from: openSUSE RPMs Kmail correctly detects that a folder is a folder-only (does not contain mail, only other folders), and displays it in the folder list grayed out. (( I'm not sure what is the exact setup of the server, but there are two kinds of folders. A folder-folder, that can only contain other folders, and cannot be accessed for content and a mail-folder, that only contains mail, and cannot contain other folders. )) The problem is that even the folder is detected correctly, Kmail keeps trying to access it (checking for new mail in this folder turned on by default) and when selected, Kmail tries to download the content. Both the new mail check and selection logically end up with server error "Mailbox isn't selectable".
KMail 4.4 doesn't yet use Akonadi.
(In reply to comment #1) > KMail 4.4 doesn't yet use Akonadi. I seem to have selected a wrong component. It's an UI problem (and its not disconnected IMAP).
I have the same problem with KMail (1.13.2) on KDE 4.4.2 and normal IMAP. Sometimes dialogs pop up for several folders stating that folder isn't selectable. It is not really reproducable when this happens and to what folders.
Same problem for me. I have several folder-only folders in my IMAP Account. When fetching mails i get notifications like this: <MyMailbox>: Select failed, server replied: <PREFIX> NO Mailbox isn't selectable: <FOLDERwithSUBFOLDERS> [ CANNOT ] Is there any solution for this yet? The problem only came up with an update to kmail2 (4.7.0) Regards, Chris
Seems to be partially fixed (the detection of folder-only folders seems to be broken now). I'm closing as I don't care about KMail anymore.
