if i want to add a contact while offline (at least with msn/wlm) a pop up turns up telling me that i am offline and need to be online for adding a contact. would be nice if kopete would offer me a "do you want to go online now" -> go online -> stay offline

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
