Description Jonas Schwarz 2010-02-20 16:54:51 UTC
Application that crashed: plasma-desktop
Version of the application: 0.3
KDE Version: 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4)
Qt Version: 4.5.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.32-trunk-686 i686
Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux testing (squeeze)

What I was doing when the application crashed:
This happens only with kernel 2.6.32, when booting the same computer with 2.6.30, plasma doen't Segfault.

I'm using Debian Squeeze, but I use Sid kdebase-workspace packages (4.3.3-4), as they should resolve this Issue.

Doing : /etc/init.d/hal stop and then launching plasma-desktop works without crashing.

Hardware is HP/Compaq Mini 110

Comment 2 Jonas Schwarz 2010-02-20 20:56:33 UTC
Hi,

Either it's not the same bug or it has not been resolved, as I mentioned I'm running kdebase-workspace (4:4.3.4-4), and I'm still getting this bug. Is there some more info I can provide to help hunting this bug.

Thanks
Regards

- Try asking on bug 219333 directly.
The bug shouldn't happen at all in KDE SC 4.4.x
