Description Willy Gommel 2010-02-20 06:55:29 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.5)
Compiler: Linux C 4.4
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

Application that crashed: digikam
Version of the application: 1.1.0
KDE Version: 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4)
Qt Version: 4.5.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.32 x86_64
Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux testing (squeeze)

What I was doing when the application crashed:
I have been having trouble getting my Fuji Finepix A330 to be recognized by my computer. I had the camera turned on and hooked up via USB. At least twice in succession, the program did not even get so far as to display a GUI screen at all -- the crash handler was invariably the first thing to appear on the screen. :( N.B.: I am trying to run this on an AMD 64 platform.

Thanks very much for whatever help you can be! :)

The backtrace is the same as in bug 219419.
- Did this happen again if you reboot your PC ?

Actually, no, it didn't. What I'm not sure about was whether it was because of
the software upgrade I did Friday night or simply because I rebooted.

Since digiKam 5.2.0, we use QtAV framework to handle video files and this kind of problem is not reproducible.
