Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Since Jabber protocol is able to reconnect after e.g. the ISP reassignes you a new IP address for the next 24 hours, it always reconnects in online-status. But in my kopete settings I set the initial status to "away".

Seems like the reconnection routine just doesn't ask the settings. Much better would be to reconnect in the last state on that account.
