Version:           revision 1092055 (using KDE 4.4.0)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Create new document (default settings)
2. Delete the single default layer
3. Create a generate (color) layer & change the color
4. Save the file and reopen it.
5. The generate layer is now transparent, and it's color reverts to black

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
Reopening the file, opens it looking the same as when it was saved.
