Description Jeffrey 2010-02-16 18:30:46 UTC
Version: 0.80.2 (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

When working in an XMPP/Jabber Account settings, the mouseover text doesn't clarify what the Priority does; instead it gives the same information as the Resource mouseover text.

Open Kopete > Settings menu > Configure > Accounts > Modify Account > Connection tab > Location Settings:
Resource mouseover text reads, "The resource name you would like to use on the Jabber network"
Priority mouseover text reads. "The resource name you would like to use on the Jabber network"

The Priority text should explain what this means (I believe, higher priorities will take precedence when connected from multiple locations), and it should also define what is meant by 'higher' (i.e., closer to zero, or closer to 100 ?)

Thanks for Kopete and for KDE!

This report is over 8 years old. If t wasn't interesting then, and can't be reproduced now, I don't think this is worth our time to dig deeper. Please consider closing this report.

Thanks for KDE.
