Description Andras Georgy Bekes 2010-02-15 11:50:15 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.4)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

There is (at least) one meanwhile contact on my list, who regularly appears offline, while in fact, he is online. He sees me online and can send messages to me, I receive them, but I can not reply. I can see some other users online and chat with them at the same time.

Setting my meanwhile status to offline and on back does not solve the problem. Restarting Kopete usually does.

The other party uses the official client on windows. We don't know how to reproduce the problem but have observed it several times.

New info: if my peer changes state, like goes from "online" to "busy", it appears on my list. It seems that when restarting Kopete, or after suspending, it loses sync with the server.

I've tested it, I *quitted* kopete, then started it. Meanwhile logged in the sametime server, Kopete showed my status "online", but none of my contacts were shown online. Whenever an online-but-shown-offline contact in my list changes state, it appears on my list.

I am sorry but I abandoned using the meanwhile plugin at least 5 years ago (not because of this bug).

Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. As it was reported on an older version, can we please ask you to see if you cazn reproduce the issue with a more recent software version?

If you can confirm this issue still exists in a recent version, please change the version field and the status to "REPORTED" when replying. Thank you!
