When I select a lot of messages with "select all", by pressing CTRL-A, it takes a very long time to perform the operation (over a minute).  Once they are selected, nothing works (like CTRL-J for apply filters, or right clicking).

In KDE 3.5, selecting the same number of messages was instantaneous (10,000+ messages).

I just want to apply my filters to all the messages, but I cannot do that because kmail locks up when I select all.  There should also be a button to apply a filter to all messages when you create it.

At least the long time for selecting all messages I can confirm

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
