Version: (using KDE 4.4.0) OS: Linux Installed from: openSUSE RPMs When taskbar thumbnails is switched on, and window grouping also is turned on, then the window thumbnails will obscure the contents of expanded window groups as soon as the mouse hovers over one of the group's window entries. That's annoying because the other entries of the window group then become inaccessible, and the window group has to be reopened again. (Taskbar thumbnails display can be turned on and off in "Configure Desktop / General / Desktop / All Effects". Window grouping in the taskmanager panel can be turned on and off in the taskmanager settings by: clicking on cashew to the right of the panel, right-clicking the taskmanager panel and chosing "Task Manager Settings".)
Steps to reproduce: 1. enable both taskbar thumbnails and window grouping 2. open a few Dolphin windows 3. expand the Dolphin window group 4. hover mouse over first entry at bottom of expanded group 5. see entries being obscured by window "tooltip", and so becoming inaccessible Workaround: 1. click on cashew to the right of the panel, 2. right-click the "Task Manager" panel and chose "Task Manager Settings" 3. uncheck the "Show tooltips" checkmark
Correct KDE terminology seems to be Task Manager "tooltips" (which may contain thumbnails). A solution to the problem could be to align tooltip popups to the right of expanded window groups.
I'm also annoyed by this behavior using KDE 4.5.1 on opensuse. I think the suggested solution of placing the tooltip to the right(or left) of the expanded window group would be useful.

No longer a problem in the Plasma 5 version.
