Version: 1.2.0svn (using KDE 4.3.5) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages After update to current svn 1.2.0 new model view port, I thought the album view was empty and buggy, until I realized that I had to double click on "My Albums" to expand the branch. It is counter intuitive because there is no "+" or "-" sign in the icon. Moreover, as the album tree was "open" before upgrade to 1.2.0, I think the upgrade should remember this fact or open the tree by default. Julien
I have also seen a closed tag hierarchy on a fresh digikam install. There is no use case at all to collapse the root item, is there? Perhaps we should implement a small slot that prevents this from happening.
The tag tree in the ImgDescEditTab is now always collapsed when restarting. Johannes, related to recent changes?
I cannot reproduce this.
SVN commit 1090060 by jwienke: Always expand root album when restoring a tree view state. Everything else might look really confusing for the user. Julien, can you try this again? CCBUGS: 226363 M +16 -2 albumtreeview.cpp WebSVN link: http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=1090060
Julien, is this fixed for you now?
Johannes, It is hard to test because the problem occured when I updated digikam to model view version. But if i try to collapse the root album and restart digikam, it is expansed. So, we can consider this as fixed. Julien
