Description Philippe ROUBACH 2010-02-11 12:29:42 UTC
Version: 1.1.0 (using 4.4.00 (KDE 4.4.0), Mandriva Linux release 2010.1 (Cooker) for i586)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.33-desktop-0.rc7.1mnb

with "email image" we have the ability to send movie, good.
but there is no way to convert the movie to a format using less space for example flv or others

there is another pb

it's no handy to select the picture or movie thne go to "picture" menu then select "sendimage"

it would be a good thing to have ameny entry in the contextual menu of the picture or movie

I vote to support this important feature with new Send by Mail tool from digiKam core introduced with next 5.7.0 release.

The transcode video operation will be easy to implement since we support QtAV framework based on FFMPEG.

digikam 6.0.0 wish still there
Comment 4 caulier.gilles 2019-02-28 12:43:14 UTC
As we depend now of ffmpeg directly, this king of video converter is possible, more and less easily.

This topic can be assigned to a student later than BQM will support web-services export tools.
