Description Kevin Wolf 2010-02-10 11:45:51 UTC
Version: 1.2.1 (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

Note that this report is probably not Konversation specific but part of some generic infrastructure. I just noticed it when Konversation switched to a native KDE 4 version recently. Please re-assign to the right component.

When configuring the notifications in Konversation, I usually want to change the configuration of multiple events (in my case, highlight the entry in the task bar for most of the available events). In the KDE 3 version, I could simply click on the right column for each event and I was done (one click per event and minimal mouse movement). Now I need to select the event in the list, move the mouse down, click a checkbox, move the mouse back to the list, select the next item, and so on.

I consider this a usability regression. Could you please restore the ability to do this in a less tedious way?

This is indeed a standard dialog from KDE's libraries that we have no control over. Reassigning.

Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have implemented this wish.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings

It's been a while... But I just checked that this is indeed still the case on two of my systems, one of which is Konversation 1.9.23085 on KDE Frameworks 5.115.0, and the other Konversation 1.10.24083 on KDE Frameworks 6.9.0. The latter seems to have lost a few notification options, too, but for the remaining ones, the behaviour is still as I reported here for KDE 4.

I'm not sure if some 15 years later there will be some actual interest to improve this, but as you requested I'm reopening the bug for now. I'm taking a guess what the right product/component would be now, please do dispatch it somewhere else if needed.
