Version: 4.3.4 (using 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4), Debian packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-7.slh.7-sidux-686 What I expect when I use "Print Preview" in the File menu of korganizer is getting a preview on my screen of what would be printed to printer if I would choose "Print". Instead it does the same as the "Print" menu item: it prints to printer. If it really is intended to actually *print* a preview (in poor quality or so) it is a german translation bug.
I can't reproduce it. Reopen if you show this problem yet. Regards
KDE 4.4.3: It still does not what it says it does - at least in the German version: print preview prints but without events - and printing tries to print with events I guess (could not test because it froze turboprint). What shall print preview do? Is it intended to print a blank preview of the calendar sheet to printer (print a preview) or is it intended to show a print preview on the screen (preview the print)? The German translation "Druckvorschau" means the latter, a preview of the print before you print. In case the first interpretation is the right one, the German translation should be changed to "Vorschau-Druck" or "Vorschau drucken". "Druckvorschau" in any other application is a preview on the screen too. Or you could use something like "Print Form Preview". And in this case a print preview on the screen should be added as it is IMHO more useful to see what you print before you waste ink and paper.
*** Bug 249781 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korganizer (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
