What I was doing when the application crashed:
Hi,

I experience this crash time to time on my Kubuntu 9.10 installation running on Dell Inspiron 1545. Maybe it is related to screen switching/resizing (external monitor and my laptop's display). 

In the session the desktop crashed I experienced some difficulties like non-working composition and disappeared items from System Tray. 

At the time of the crash I was not doing anything particular with the desktop (no configuration, resizing, switching desktop, etc.) I was working with some applications (Firefox, terminal, Openoffice, Lotus Notes), I was probably switching windows with alt-tab.

This report is probably not that useful, but maybe it helps. I've seen similar traces and reports. Is there an official fix available in Ubuntu?
