Version: (using KDE 4.4.0) Compiler: g++ (Gentoo 4.4.2 p1.0) 4.4.2 OS: Linux Installed from: Gentoo Packages Konqueror (which is KDE's official web browser) badly lags with the new version of the KDE website. The symptoms are: - Lag while scrolling - it's impossible smoothly scroll through the webpage. - Lag for on-hover effects - including the underline for the links (!) Having a website that lags with KDE's own default web browser further conveys the common misconception that KDE is bloat. KDE Version: 4.3.98 (KDE 4.3.98 (KDE 4.4 RC3)) (KDE 4.3.98 (KDE 4.3.98 (KDE 4.4 RC3)), Gentoo) Operating System: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32.7 Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T5300 @ 1.73GHz GenuineIntel Video Card: nVidia Corporation G72M (GeForce Go 7300)
Worksforme (TM) on 4.3.4 ;-) Site could however be made a bit smaller I guess, someone complained it was 2.7 mb - there might be some big images left?
Confirmed, konqueror is giving a lot of lag with the website, tested with Chrome and Firefox, works like a charm.
Works fine for me, both Konqueror and Firefox take about the same amount of time.(Actually I felt Konqueror was a bit faster.) Here is my config :- Version: (using KDE 4.3.5) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
Lags pretty badly here as well: Version: (using KDE 4.4.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Arch kdemod Packages Qt: 4.6.1
From the above reports, it seems like the lag is only in KDE 4.4.
Does this still apply?
