What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was trying to merge contacts into meta-contacts, to I opened the dialog windows for meta contacts. I selected the new metacontact checkbox, and when I unchecked it again kopete crashed.
Kopete started behaving strange before this by not showing the icons in the toolbars.
