What I was doing when the application crashed:
Fresh boot of my system after 50 days. (power failure), Strangely, my keyboard and mouse actually worked when I started X11. (which is unusual these days). Anyway, my system has been chugging along for many many long years... I'm sorely disappointed in kde4. kde3 had some of the best software I've ever used.
