Description zohn.joidberg 2010-02-05 12:47:51 UTC
Version: 2.3.2 (using KDE 4.3.2)
Compiler: gcc version 4.4.1 (Ubuntu 4.4.1-4ubuntu9)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

It seems Gwenview does not support animated gifs with "combined images", i.e. when each frame only contains changes to the previous frame and is put over the previous one.
Gwenview animates the gif by showing only one frame each time and since part of the frame is transparent to show the background frame, it does not give the expected result.

(opening the gif with gimp shows "combine" next to each frame, except the background one)

Comment 2 Aurelien Gateau 2010-02-10 23:47:50 UTC
Gwenview relies on Qt to display animated GIF and other formats. Qt animated GIF handler needs to be fixed. Please report this bug on http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/
