Description Claus Appel 2010-02-03 16:49:12 UTC
Version: 2.2.2 (using 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4), 4.3.4-3.fc11 Fedora)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.30.10-105.fc11.i586

The Amarok equalizer (found under "Configure -> Playback") has a number of built-in presets and also lets the user adjust the sliders himself. But there is no way to save my own equalizer settings. If I change any of the sliders, the "preset" field automatically reverts to "manual", and so when I click "save" the program tries to overwrite the "manual" preset, which is not allowed. There is no way to save a preset under a new name.

Suggested fixes:
1. The "save" button, instead of refusing, should say something like: "Cannot overwrite the built-in preset FOO. Enter new name."
2. The "preset" field should NOT revert to "manual" whenever a slider is moved.

Simply because it is not implemented yet. Moving to wishlist

You need to give it a different name, then sving works fine.

Please file a separate bug about the issue that amarok doesn't ask for a new name.
