Version: (using Devel) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources when starting kde with the network connection down and kopete autoconnection enabled (msn and yahoo) it will almost freeze kde (top shows kwin taking up most of the cpu (48% seemed to be the bottom line) and staying there). The first time it froze showing some yahoo plug-in message but only the title bar text was being displayed. I restarted kde 2 times and the behaviour was pretty much the same..kde started and froze probably while kopete was trying to connect. Then I restarted kde and ignored the wallet request for the password then kde went through and remained operative. Later when the net came on I supplied the password and kopete started normally. It doesnt have an effect when the net goes down once it's been started.
as a matter of fact it is yahoo plug-in that's doing it and it is definitely a show stopper, since you need to either restart kde or kill kwin and lose some functionality, put up with some artifact left on your screen, etc.
Is this still happening?
