Qt Version: 4.5.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31-17-generic i686
Distribution: Ubuntu 9.10

What I was doing when the application crashed:
amarok shuts down every time i start it (rythmbox does so either). tried to start it with 'gdb' but crashes once again. couln't create a bug report. Says: Unable to start Dr. Konqi

Please upgrade to Amarok 2.2.2, this is solved since quite some time. See also http://kubuntu.org/news/amarok-2.2.2.
As for Rythmbox I can't help you, you should report the bug to them.
