Version: (using Devel) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources i set up my computer to go to sleep after 20 minutes. so it happens few times per day the problem is that, when it return from sleep, in more than 50% cases, it go to sleep again, in a matter of seconds. after this i push the power button, it return from sleep and then everything ok as we all know, when it return from sleep, it should not go to sleep for the second time. before to go to sleep for the second time, usually i get a message, like "the computer will be suspended to RAM in 20 seconds". and there is a cancel button too. when i have time, i press it and the action (go to sleep) is canceled its frustrating
Is there any reason why this bug has been assigned to kdelirc? AFAICS there is no relation to kdelirc in the problem description...
@Michael: it was my fault. Sorry. Reassigning.
Can confirm this under KDE SC 4.4.2 from debian experimental. But in contrast to the initial report, I do not see a message which announces the second suspend. The suspend after wakeup occurs a few seconds after wakeup, irrespective of activity (e.g., mouse or keyboard actions). Linux 2.6.33, Intel Core i5 with P55 chipset, AMI bios.
I can confirm the problem with KDE 4.4.2 from mandriva. I can see the first suspend msg and a few seconds later the system sleeps (no wait for 15 seconds as declared in the msg). After the wakeup I can see in the notify area the suspend notify and a few seconds later the system go to sleep again. If I use the sleep key on the keyboard the system works fine. There is some significant log file I can attach? samsung X520, processor U7300
Feel free to reopen the report if the problem still happens in recent versions ( KDE SC 4.8.4 or higher). Thanks.
