Version: (using KDE 4.3.4) Installed from: Unspecified Linux Almost every image organizer has a Fast Fix option for automatically adjusting the brightness, colour, contrast mask, red eye removal, and possibly other parameters. As most of these tools have automatic modes in Digikam anyway, it would only be a matter of chaining them and putting a button on the main UI in addition to the Edit UI. Software that has this function include Photoshop Elements (called Smartfix), Photoshop CS (called Auto Curves), Microsoft Photoviewer (Levels Auto Fix), Upshoot (Fast Fix), BrilliantPhoto (Auto Fix), Picasa (I'm Feeling Lucky), and others. Here is a PDF document which compares the results of these different applications' implementations of the feature: http://www.upshotphoto.com/nav/UpShotExamples.pdf
For colors fixes, try digiKam Color AutoCorrection tool. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2746/4310695463_de066bf6f3_o.png This tool is also available in Batch Queue Manager Gilles Caulier
Thanks, Gilles. However, this feature request is not only for colours but for several other fixes that can be done automatically, just as with competing commercial applications. It's a useful feature, a family using Picasa (on Windows) that I know runs the tool on _all_ their photos. You would not believe how good it looks (and according to the PDF, Picasa is not one of the better implementations).
Auto color and red eyes removal are automatic and can be chained in Batch Queue Manager, plus plenty of others filters. Gilles Caulier
