Please add an option to view from within Digikam the photos deleted from Digikam. Yes, I know that they are accessible from the Trash directory, but having it in Digikam would be great. Thanks.

This sounds like complete removing any kio operations from the core.

I think no. We just need to identify which image have been removed from digiKam in KDE trash and display it in digiKam as well. If it's possible, no need to duplicates KDE trash here.

No! The photos should show in the regular KDE trash as well. It might require adding other metadata to the deleted file, see this bug:
