Description Sabine Faure 2010-01-27 22:17:45 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Compiler: gcc 4.3.2
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

- Launch KOrg
- create an 'ICal file' calendar from an ICal Calendar file.
- Go to setting menu/Configure KOrganizer... and click on the Colors and Fonts icon.
- Select 'ICal file' from combo box in the Resources section
- Click on the colored button next to it and select a new color for it.
- click on 'ok'
- The new color is now displayed next to the calendar name 'ICal file' in the resources/folders section.
- Now create a new event in the 'Ical file' calendar and fill in the details without choosing any category.

The event background color in the agenda view should match the color displayed next to the calendar name in the resources/folders view whereas at the moment the event displays a unique default background color (a kind of salmon) even after it was changed.

Hi,
there is a default color in dialogbox to define background color when we don't define category.
Are you sure that it doesn't use it ?

But it's right perhaps a checkbox to define if you want to use any color => default calendar color will be used, will be a good idea.

But for me this bug is invalid it use default color for any category.
Could you re-test it and give me info it's the is bug yet ?
Thanks

You are right, I retested this today and realized that for testing purposes I selected the 'Only category' radio button in the Configure - KOrganizer dialogue (View icon, Agenda tab and Color Usage section) which prevented the color associated with the calendar to be displayed.

I retested this today with the default Color Usage option (Category inside, calendar outside) and now I can see that it works so I am closing this bug.

Sorry about that.
