Compiler:          x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-gentoo-r1

Because of the current problems on getting and staying online with kopete with jabber.org and gmail.com I'm trying to get a clue by watching into the XML console, which can be opened by right clicking your account entry. Unfortunately, this is greyed out as long as you are offline. So it's not possible for me to have a look at the initial chit chat between kopete and server when the connection can't be established on the first hand.

It would be nice to always enable the XML console and only make it r/o when beeing offline or sth. like that.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
