Description Julien Narboux 2010-01-25 22:46:59 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

The film grain effect in Digikam's image editor is not realistic. It create a grey picture but does not simulate grain. It would be nice to have a better algorithm which adds different quantities of grain depending on lightness.

Julien,

There is already an entry about this problem. Solution is to use HSL color space to add grainess. We continu to talk about at the common place #148540
