Description Tammo Tjarks 2010-01-25 20:23:25 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

I have today installed the newest Version of KDE4.4 RC2:
kmail -v
Qt: 4.6.1
KDE Development Platform: 4.3.95 (KDE 4.3.95 (KDE 4.4 RC2)) "release 214"
KMail: 1.13.0

When I try to create a new message kmail crashes. I have installed the 64-bit rpm-binaries for OpenSuse. I do not have a debug output. I do not have debug output, but when I start kmail in a shell, the last output is:

Enchant dict for "de" 0x1871e20
kmail: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/libkmailprivate.so.4: undefined symbol: _ZNK14KPIMIdentities9Signature18insertIntoTextEditEP13KRichTextEditNS0_9PlacementEbb

I hope that will help.

When I deactivate "Automatically insert signature" it does not crash anymore

Without signature I get the E-Mail composer, now kmail crashes when I send the message. The last output is:

Enchant dict for "de" 0x1c5afc0
kmail: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/libkmailprivate.so.4: undefined symbol: _ZN13MailTransport16TransportManager33promptCreateTransportIfNoneExistsEP7QWidget

sorry, it seems that it was a problem with the one-click installer. I reinstalled via YAST. Now it works again.
