Description Steve 2010-01-25 14:56:08 UTC
Application that crashed: kpackagekit
Version of the application: 0.5.2
KDE Version: 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4)
Qt Version: 4.5.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31.5-127.fc12.i686.PAE i686

What I was doing when the application crashed:
I find that the rpm fusion free and non free updates have a bug and that seems to verified by all reports i have read. another thing is that the fastr mirror sites are not fast as I use Teelstra.com and by using wireshark I find that they are not letting anyone from accessing Open Office and are not allowing access to rpm fusion and any site that mirrors your software. I worked for Telstra building theit ccommunications systems and I have made manys complaints to the Telecommuncations Industry Ombudsman in Australia only to be lied to by them and Telstra. I would start investigating them for unfair practices in regards to your software mirrors and I would stop giving them access to your software. I know that they use Redhat * to run their IP network for the new alarm system they have just installed, so RedhaT SHOULD STOP SUPPLYING THEM IF THEY NOT GOING TO FREELY DISTRIBUTE YOUR SOFTWARE. (sorry for the caplock).
Steve!!! Telecommuncations Tech and now redhat promoter

Comment 2 Dario Andres 2010-01-27 03:38:03 UTC
This matches the situation of bug 220344, could you check it ?

As for legal complaints, I suggest that you point it out to the FSF, I think that would be the correct group in this case.

In terms of filtering and blocking, if Australia has something like the USA's FCC, depending on legalities, you would report it to there.

Looking at the backtrace seems to be the same bug,
which I don't know how to reproduce..
Best.
